Can we use a different textbook for Earth Science Explored?

We provide a recommended reading list from the textbooks Novare Earth Science or BJU Press Earth Science. You may substitute another textbook or skip textbook reading altogether, but we believe either of these textbooks does a wonderful job reinforcing concepts we cover in the lecture. 
Novare Earth Science is written from an Old Earth perspective, while BJU Press is written from a Young Earth perspective. 

*Please note - for BJU Press Earth Science, either the 4th or 5th edition will work.
