Do you have a suggested schedule for Experience Astronomy PLUS (Level C)?

Your student has the flexibility to watch each lesson video whenever they’d like throughout the week, but it’s important they keep up the weekly pace, as this course follows the sky in real-time, as it changes throughout the year.

This course is sufficient to count for high school credit. If your student is doing the weekly reading, quiz, observation, and lesson that should take about 2 hours per week for the basic portion. Your student also has PLUS lessons every few weeks along with an assignment and portfolio they should be creating. The assignments and portfolios should be worked on over several weeks and each assignment should take several hours if done correctly. We would anticipate a student would be averaging 4 hours per week when they include the extra plus lessons and the assignments from those lessons and completing the portfolio.

Below is a sample weekly schedule based on a 5-day school week, but your student may arrange their schedule to fit their week.

Monday: Watch lesson video and fill in the lesson outlines in the student guide book.
Tuesday: Complete lesson quiz + work on astronomy project
Wednesday: Assigned reading from Signs and Seasons
Thursday: Watch stargaze tutorial (when available) + complete outdoor observation assignment
Friday: Review lesson + retake quiz if needed + spend time working on current project
